About Michael McDonald

A native of Prairieville, Louisiana, Michael brings a disciplined work ethic and a client-focused approach to representing individuals who have been injured throughout the State of Louisiana. After graduating from St. Amant High School, Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Louisiana–Monroe. During summer and winter breaks from college, Michael worked as a pipefitter and boilermaker for Turner Industries, an experience that shaped his respect for hard work and the challenges faced by working families throughout Louisiana.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center, where he developed a strong foundation in advocacy and litigation. During law school, Michael was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, served on the Trial Advocacy Board, competed in mock trial competitions across the state, and gained practical experience through participation in the Criminal and Workers’ Compensation Clinic. His academic achievements include two CALI Excellence Awards in Admiralty Law and Offshore Personal Injury. Michael graduated cum laude in 2018 and was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar later that year.

Since joining Bateman Law Firm in December 2018, Michael has represented clients in a variety of personal injury matters. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. During the course of his career, Michael has tried multiple cases and has been involved in matters that have resulted in significant verdicts and recoveries, including matters involving seven-figure awards. He is known for thorough preparation, attention to detail, and commitment to understanding the unique circumstances of each client’s case. Michael believes trial lawyers should never become complacent and should continue to learn and refine methods aimed at pursuing maximum recovery for their clients.

Michael resides in Prairieville, Louisiana with his wife, Brianna, and three daughters. He enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
